Some Winners, Runners up, and Minor placings from the Seventies


1973 Kempton
Rosy Picture (left) ridden by 19 year old apprentice Robert Kerry holds off the challenge of the favourite Wyntac (right) ridden by Eric Eldin.



1973 Sandown
Mount Cassino (Terry McKeown) gets home on the bridle from Reform Bill (Tommy Carter) centre, and Office Party (Michael Kettle) on the right... Desert  Cry (Brian Taylor) on the rails finishes fourth.



1975 Brighton
Mount Sreet Ron Hutchinson wins very cosily from  Calibina Alan Cressy  (centre), with Dashing Hussar Alan Bond (left) third.



1975 Folkestone
The grey  Little Tern (Ron Hutchinson) just holds off Noble Memory (Paul Cook) in a tight finish.



1976 Folkestone
Warrenwood Park with Michael  Kettle in the saddle on the nearside wins narrowly from Lucky Touch ridden by Ian Johnson.



1976 Folkestone
Trossachs (Ron Hutchinson)  right, gets home first from The Mustard Club (Terry McKeown) left,  with Upstairs (Geoff Lewis) second right in third place.



1976 Brighton
Cyclamate (Taffy Thomas) in the centre  wins from Doris's Choice (Richard Fox) left with Red Dawn (Willie Carson) right in third place.


1976 Windsor
Bermondo (Pat Young) left, is first home from Pagos Boy (Ron Hutchinson) right, with Paddy's Luck (David Dineley) centre finishing 3rd... Bermondo was subsequently demoted to 2nd after an objection  by Hutchinson.
