Lester rode my horse Baroncroft, who I had a few quid on. After making all he seemed to ease up in typical Lester style before getting up to win. I said to him "that was bloody close" & his reply was "Nah, it was easy!" On leading him up later in the year on the same horse hetold me that he thought that the ground wasn't firm enough for Barocroft & to back him for a place but to back our other horse in the race to win, he was right of course!
